§ July, 1994-March 31, 2002. Assistant State Attorney, Palatka, FL---Prosecuted thousands of cases, and personally conducted well over 120 jury trials. Cases included first-degree murder cases (some involving the death penalty), habitual offenders, white collar crimes, DUI’s, etc. Putnam County Deputy Division Chief, 1998-2002. Received “Top Gun” Award in 1999 for most jury trials that year.
§ Assistant Public Defender, Palatka, FL---Felony Criminal Defense Practice. Tried approximately 100 jury trials. Promoted to Capital Division in 1992, providing criminal defense work in first-degree murder cases in Putnam and St. Johns Counties.
